Moroccan Mosque or Moroccani Mosque ( Arabic: المسجد المغربي ) is a mosque in the capital of Mauritania , the city of Nouakchott .

Content
History
The Moroccan mosque was built in the late 70s of the XX century for the money allocated by King of Hassan II of Morocco . In 2008, by order of Mayor Nouakchott Ahmed Uldom Hamza, all commercial buildings located near the mosque were demolished [1] .
Description
The Moroccan mosque is located in the south of the central part of Nouakchott, at the confluence of four districts, namely Sabha, Porta, Tigre Zeyn and Luxor [1] , south of the Uld Abbas mosque [2] , not far from the Moroccan market , next to the Moroccan cultural center. The mosque consists of the main prayer hall, which occupies most of the mosque, the pulpit, and the round hall. Decorated with carvings, mosaics and marble in a Moorish architectural style [3] .
