Jay Allard ( born J January Allard, James Allard ) was born on January 12, 1969 in New York , worked at Microsoft from 1991 to 2010, was technical director of the entertainment and devices division.

Jay is known for his 1994 memorandum titled “Windows: The Next Killing Web Application, ” [1] which has replaced Microsoft's move toward the Internet . He also participated in the launch of the Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles , the Zune player. May 25, 2010, after the closure of the Courier booklet computer project, which was headed by Jay, he left his post, but remains in the company as a direct adviser to CEO Steve Ballmer .
