Small (Near) Rocks , also Massif is a rock massif near the village of Granitnoye ( Kapeasalmi platform or the 148th km) near the town of Priozersk ( Leningrad Region ) on the shore of the Rybatsky Strait of the Vuoksa Lake System [1] . Height - up to 15 meters (in a 1966 guidebook, height is up to 30-40 m [2] , while the Water Encyclopedia of the Leningrad Region writes about “vertical granite cliffs up to 8 m high” [3] ). They are called Small, unlike the Big Rocks , up to 50 meters high (Mount Parnassus) [4] [5] .

It is very popular among lovers of tourism and mountaineering . Small cliffs found by Leningrad climbers in the early 1950s gave impetus to development in the field of sports climbing . Already in 1952, the first Leningrad championship in this sport was held in the vicinity of Priozersk [1] . Despite its small height, Small Rocks are a difficult surface for climbers; they are dissected by crevices, giving climbers the opportunity to force ledges, steep walls and fireplaces (vertical or inclined cracks in rocks with parallel walls between which a climber's body can fit) [2] . The Small Cliffs area also attracts outdoor enthusiasts, becoming the site of many popular tourist camps [1] .
