Taras Nikolaevich Boychuk ( March 17, 1966 in the village of Lukavtsy, Vizhnitsky district, Chernivtsi region ) - Ukrainian scientist in the field of chronobiology and chronotoxicology, doctor of medical sciences (1999), professor (2002), rector of Bukovinian State Medical University (2010 ), Chairman of the Board of the Alumni Association of Bukovinian State Medical University (2012). Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher School of Ukraine (since 2010).

Education, degrees and titles

In 1989 he graduated from the Chernivtsi State Medical Institute with a degree in medical care.

Candidate of Medical Sciences since 1995. Doctor of Medical Sciences since 1999, professor since 2002.

Career

After graduation, he went from a senior laboratory assistant to the head of the laboratory for water hygiene and sanitary protection of reservoirs of the research institute of medical and environmental problems of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

After defending his Ph.D. thesis (1994), he worked as an assistant, then as an assistant professor at the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics at Bukovinian State Medical Academy .

In 1999 he defended his doctoral dissertation. In 2002 he received the academic title of professor. From 2000 to 2003 he worked as dean of the pediatric and medical faculties of the Bukovinian State Medical Academy.

In 2004-2007 he worked at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine as Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Department of Personnel Policy, Education and Science. Since 2007 - rector of the Kiev Medical University of the Ukrainian Association of Traditional Medicine [1] , head of the department of normal physiology and medical biology.

April 7, 2010 by order of MINZDRAV appointed and. about. Rector of Bukovinian State Medical University .

November 12, 2010 at the Conference of the labor collective of BSMU by secret ballot was elected rector of Bukovinian State Medical University.

Scientific Interests

Areas of research: chronobiology. Research interests: chronotoxicology, laser polarimetry of biological objects.

The author of 164 scientific works, including 10 study guides and 8 monographs.

He prepared three candidates of sciences, one doctor of sciences, supervises the preparation of 3 doctoral students and 2 graduate students [2] .

He is the chief editor of the scientific and practical journals " Clinical and Experimental Pathology ", "Bukovinian Medical Bulletin" , "Neonatology, Surgery and Perinatal Medicine . "

Member of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal "Medical Education" .
