Kenjiro Takayanagi ( Japanese 高 柳 健 次郎 Takayanagi Kenjiro: January 20, 1899 , Hamamatsu July 23, 1990 , Yokosuka ) - Japanese designer, creator of the world's first fully electronic television set.

He became interested in television in 1925 after reading articles on a new technology in a French magazine. Already in 1926, Dr. Takayanagi for the first time in the world with the help of a cathode ray tube showed an image of Kana イ . After World War II, [1] Takayanagi joined JVC , where he served as vice president. He was awarded the Order of Culture (1981).
