Ivan Afanasevich Lyakh (born July 10, 1929 ) is a Soviet statesman, chairman of the executive committee of the Dnipropetrovsk city council. Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR 9-10th convocations.

Biography
Since 1946 - a student at a vocational school, a student at an industrial technical school. He served in the Soviet army.
Member of the CPSU since 1953 .
Since 1954 - Secretary of the Komsomol committee of the school of factory training, head of the department of the Krasnogvardeisky district committee of the Komsomol city of Dnepropetrovsk, secretary of the Komsomol committee of the construction trust No. 17 of the city of Dnepropetrovsk.
Higher education. He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Civil Engineering Institute.
Since 1959 - master, foreman of the construction trust No. 17 of the city of Dnepropetrovsk, instructor of the Dnipropetrovsk city committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, instructor of the Dnipropetrovsk regional committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, head of the department of Glavpridneprostroy, deputy manager of the Dneprgorstroy trust of the city of Dnepropetrovsk.
In 1967 - 1974 - 2nd, 1st secretary of the Kirovsky district committee of the Communist Party of the city of Dnepropetrovsk.
In 1974 - 1981 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council of People's Deputies.
In 1981 - 1991 - 1st Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR for Nature Protection, chief state inspector of the Ukrainian SSR for Nature Protection.
Then - retired in the city of Kiev.
