Biography
Born into a peasant family.
In the Red Army since 1940. In 1941 he graduated from the Saratov Tank School.
Member of the Great Patriotic War since 1941. He commanded a tank platoon, the 25th Guards Tank Regiment of the 37th Guards Tank Brigade.
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1943 .
After the war, he continued to serve in the Soviet Army. He graduated with a gold medal from the Military Academy of Armored and Mechanized Forces.
He served as commander of the 66th Panzer Division, deputy commander of the army of the Far Eastern Military District.
He graduated with a gold medal from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
Since December 1968 - First Deputy Commander of the 5th Army of the Far Eastern Military District. In 1970 - May 1972 - 1st Deputy Commander of the Northern Group of Forces (Poland).
In May 1972 - December 1975 - commander of the 8th Panzer Army of the Red Banner Carpathian Military District.
In December 1975 - September 1979 - 1st Deputy Commander of the North Caucasus Military District .
Then - retired.
