Biography

Nathan Thuuddle was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. Married to Andrea Thuaddle, married one child - son William [2] .

In 2011, he officially announced the end of his professional career, which caused confusion in the sports community. Shortly before this, he publicly expressed his intention to take part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and was actively training for this [3] .

After completing his sports career, he began working as a sports consultant in the organization High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ), which specializes in developing training methods, financing various sports and improving the skills of coaches [4] .

Olympic appearances

At the age of twenty-five he was included in the Olympic team of New Zealand. The first career and the only successful performance was the participation in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In the heat of twos, together with partner George Bridgewater , with the result of 6: 44.19 their pair won a bronze medal, giving up primacy to rivals from Canada (6: 39.55 - 2nd place) and Australia (6: 37.44 - 1st place) [5 ] [6] .
