Career

Piangiani began his independent career in the 2006/2007 season from work in Siena , where he had been an assistant head coach for a long time. With the Sienese, Simone won six world titles and four national cups, and also twice made the finals of the 4th Euroleague . From 2009 to 2015, he led the Italian national team, which he led three times to the final stage of the European Championship.

Working in the Turkish Fenerbahce [1] (2012–2013), Simone Pnjiani did not achieve significant success, adding to the club statistics of trophies the Turkish Cup. At the time of the resignation, the club was in the top five teams of the championship, but took only 7th place out of 8 of its group in the Euroleague.

In June 2016, Piangiani signed a two-year contract with Jerusalem 's Hapoel [2] , but he worked only a season, winning the Israel Championship and League Cup, after which he ended up at Olimpia. The contract with the Milan club is for three years [3] .
