Pushchin Nikolai Nikolaevich (1861 — after 1917) - a shipbuilder who oversees the construction of mine cruisers of the Russian Imperial Navy , chief inspector of shipbuilding , Lieutenant General of the Marine Engineers Corps .

Biography

Nikolai Nikolaevich Pushchin was born on May 9, 1861 [1] .

In service since 1880. In 1882 he graduated from the shipbuilding department of the Technical School of the Maritime Department in Kronstadt . In 1883 he was promoted to officer in the ship's engineers corps [1] .

In 1888 he graduated from the shipbuilding department of the Nikolaev Maritime Academy [1] .

In 1892-1893, the senior assistant to the shipbuilder N. N. Pushchin supervised the construction of the Kazarsky mine cruisers (project of the Shihau company) number 1 and number 2 ( Horseman and Gaydamak ) at the shipyard of V. Joint Stock Company. Creighton & Co., Mechanical Plant and Shipyard ”in Abo ( Finland ). [2] .

In 1894-1897, the ship's engineer N. N. Pushchin was observing the construction of the Abrek mine cruiser (Creighton project) in Abo [3] .

In December 1898, the junior shipbuilder N. N. Pushchin was appointed to oversee the construction of the hull of ordered ships (a cruiser of 3,000 tons of displacement, which later received the name " Novik " and four destroyers) in Danzig ( Germany ). [4] .

On November 16, 1900 he was appointed junior shipbuilder of the St. Petersburg port [1] , was in the State of the Experimental Basin (he was only a member of the basin staff, but was in Stettin, watching the construction of a small cruiser) [5] .

In December 1901, he was appointed chief builder of the Aurora cruiser at the completion stage, replacing the ship engineer K. M. Tokarevsky in this position [6] .

In 1903 he was promoted to senior shipbuilder . In 1907, re-certified as colonel, in 1909 promoted to major general .

Since 1910, he served as chief inspector of shipbuilding. Since 1911, he served as chief, and in 1913 he was appointed head of the shipbuilding department of the General Directorate of Shipbuilding . Since April 14, 1913, in the rank, promoted to lieutenant general . From 1914 to 1916 it consisted of a corps, was seconded to the Petrograd port office to receive monetary allowance. Dismissed from service on September 11, 1916 [7] . The further fate is unknown.

Family

He was married to Elena Nikolaevna - the daughter of the chief inspector of shipbuilding in 1895-1905, N. E. Kuteinikova [5] . Had a son [7] .
