Linda Gordon ( born Linda Gordon ; born 19 January 1940 , Chicago ) is an American historian and feminist. University professor at New York University, until 1999 professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin, member of the American Philosophical Society (2015 [3] ).

Biography
Linda Gordon was born in Chicago . She studied at Sworthmore College , receiving a doctorate in Russian history at Yale University . In 1968-1984 she taught at the University of Massachusetts in Boston , from 1984-1999 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison . Since 1999, he has been teaching history at New York University .
Member of the editorial boards of Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society and Journal of Women's History .
Laureate of the Antonovich Foundation Prize for the book “Cossack Uprising: Dissatisfaction in Ukraine of the 16th Century” ( Cossack Rebellions: Social Turmoil in the Sixteenth-century Ukraine ).
