Description
Located on the left bank of Pushma just below the mouth of Kichug in a wooded area in the north-west of the region. It is located 31 km east of Podosinovets , 52 km southeast of the Luz and 210 km northwest of Kirov .
Nearest train station the station is located in the village of Pinyug (12 km to the north-east, on the Kirov- Kotlas line ).
In the north, near the village (behind the bridge over Pushma), the Murashi highway ( P176 ) - Pinyug - Podosinovets passes.

History
In the XVIII century, the village belonged to the Verkhnopushensky volost of Nikolsky district of the Vologda province and was called Arkhangelsk in honor of the stone church of St. Michael the Archangel, built in 1823. In 1859, in the “List of Settlements” it was designated as Pushemskoe graveyard, in which there were three courtyards and 17 people lived [2] . In 1881, the village was called Pushemsko-Mikhailo-Arkhangelskoe and was part of the Shchetkino volost [3] . In 1917, 18 people lived in the village, there was a one-class parish school, opened in 1889 [4] .
Until April 28, 2012 it was the administrative center of the October rural settlement [5] .
