History
The settlement at the station of the West Siberian Railway was founded in 1959 [2] .
Geography
The station is located in the western part of the Altai Territory, within the Kulundinskaya Plain , southwest of Lake Batovoe, at a distance of about 24 kilometers (in a straight line) to the north-east of the village of Zavyalovo , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 153 meters above sea level [3] .
The climate is temperate, sharply continental . The average January temperature is −18.6 ° C, July –19.3 ° C [4] .
