Air traffic control (ATC) [1] - air traffic control service provided in order to:
- collision avoidance:
- between aircraft
- aircraft with obstacles in the area of maneuvering;
- acceleration and regulation of air traffic.
This type of service is one of the types of air traffic services (ATS) [1] , which, in turn, is one of the components of air traffic management (ATM) .
- The terms "Air traffic control service" and "Air traffic control" are equivalent. [1] [2] [3]
Types of dispatch service
Depending on at what stage of the aircraft's flight the dispatching service (ATC) is provided, this service is divided into:
- Regional dispatching services are provided at the flight stages not related to arrival, departure and aerodrome traffic;
- Dispatch approach service is provided at the flight stages, which are associated with arrival and departure;
- Aerodrome control services are provided during movement on the maneuvering area of the aerodrome, as well as during flights of aircraft in the vicinity of the aerodrome within the boundaries of the control zone.
