Scientific activity
Specialist in the field of organic chemistry.
Leading scientist and recognized authority in the field of medical chemistry and chemistry of heterocyclic nitro compounds.
He developed an original scientific direction - azoloannelated nitroazines, which opened access to a promising class of broad-spectrum antiviral substances that are effective, including against viruses that cause hemorrhagic fevers, tick-borne encephalitis and AIDS.
He completed a series of works on the creation of compounds with a critically high nitrogen content. Scientific developments of V. L. Rusinov find practical application. For example, the antiviral drug triazotrin is being successfully introduced into practice.
The author of more than 300 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 6 reviews, 150 articles (more than 50 of them published abroad), more than 60 patents and copyright certificates have been received.
Under his leadership, 13 candidate and 2 doctoral dissertations were defended.
