Biography
Evgeny Markovich Savelyev was born in 1906.
In 1925 he graduated from the Kiev workshop of stage creativity. In 1936–1942, he performed at the Engel State Russian Drama Theater (in the city of Engels ), which shared a room with the German State Theater, and later with the Philharmonic Society.
Since 1942, he played in the Kalinin Drama Theater . He was a representative of a realistic school, was distinguished by a wide creative range - from bright satire to deep psychologism and high tragedy. He played more than two hundred roles.
He died on May 23, 1967 in Kiev during a tour, and was buried there.
