Career

Segundo Villadoniga began his career at the Cerro Club, from where he moved to Montevideo Wanderers [2] [3] [4] . In 1934, the midfielder became a player of Peñarol . A year later, he helped the team win the national championship . In 1936, Villadoniga scored three goals in a derby with Nacional , and his team won 4-0 [5] . And in the same year, for the second time in a row, he won the Uruguayan championship. And a year later, won the third consecutive title of the country's strongest team.

In 1938, Villadoniga became a player in the Brazilian club Vasco da Gama . On January 16, he made his team debut in a match with Bonsusesso [6] . The football player helped the club win its first international tournament - the Luis Aranyi Tournament . The player played for the team for 5 years. March 22, 1942 Segundo spent the last match for the club against “ America ”, where he scored two goals [6] .

In mid-1942, Villadoniga moved to Palmeiras . On July 26, the footballer made his debut as a member of the team against the São Paulo Realway "In which his team won 3-2; there he scored the first goal for the club [1] . In the first season, the football player helped the team win the state championship . Segnudo repeated the same success in 1944. On December 18, 1946, Villadoniga spent the last match for the club against River Plate (2: 1). In 1947, Segundo returned to Uruguay, again becoming a Peñaroli player. In 1949, Villadoniga last celebrated his victory in the Uruguay Championship for the last time in his career. A year later, he decided to end his career. After finishing his career, the Uruguayan went to Sao Paulo , where he got a job as a waiter in the Trattoria Del Michelle restaurant, owned by Tivoli's native, Miquella. This restaurant was located next to Antarctica Park , becoming one of where Palmeiras fans very often rested [3] . He lived the remaining years of his life in the Perdises area of ​​São Paulo. There he died at the age of 90 years [3] .
