Collectives and performers
- Symphony orchestra (conductor - Vladislav Ivanovsky). Created in 1991, acquired the status of philharmonic in 1994.
- Jazz Orchestra (conductor - Valery Murzov). Created in 1998.
- Orchestra of Russian folk instruments (artistic director and conductor - Vasily Kormishin). Created in 2007.
From 1994 to 2017, the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra was directed by the Honored Artist of Russia (2004) Alexey Vorontsov.
Location and History
The Philharmonic Concert Hall is located at Victory Street , Building 42. The Philharmonic Hall is part of the Art Square building ensemble. The building of the Togliatti Philharmonic was built on the title of the KATZ plant as a multifunctional club for 800 places according to the standard project 169-129, developed by the Giprogor Institute in 1959. In 2004-2005. the building was rebuilt to the needs of the concert venue.
The Tolyatti Philharmonic Society was opened on April 15, 1980 as a branch (branch) of the Kuibyshev State Philharmonic Society (City Archive R-230, p.1, d.297). The first branch director is Honored Culture Worker of the Russian Federation G. A. Sapozhinsky. The Togliatti Philharmonic became an independent municipal concert organization on April 16, 1992 (transformed by the Resolution of the Head of the Administration of the City of Togliatti No. 258 of April 16, 1992).
In 1994, the philharmonic became the base for the symphony orchestra, in 1998 a jazz orchestra came to it, and in 2007, the orchestra of Russian folk instruments was formed on the basis of the philharmonic. From 2007 to 2011, the Harmony Chamber Choir (artistic director Tatyana Chetkova) acted in the Philharmonic.
In 2004, the Togliatti Philharmonic acquired a building with a concert hall in the Central District of the city (the former Palace of Culture of Chemists, then the Palace of Arts (Culture) "Jubilee"). On March 2, 2005, the Philharmonic Concert Hall opened after reconstruction, as a result of which increased comfort and significantly improved technical equipment of the hall.
