Acheritou ( Greek: Αχερίτου ) / Guvercinlik ( Turkish : Güvercinlik ) is a village on the island of Cyprus , in the territory of the partially recognized state of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (according to the opinion of the international community, in the Republic of Cyprus ).

Geographical position
Acheritou is located in the eastern part of the island, in the southeastern part of the district, at a distance of about 3 kilometers west of Famagusta , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 31 meters above sea level [2] .

The population of the village in 2011 was 911 people, of which 49.73% were men and 50.27% respectively [3] .
