History
In 1928, the Novoolkhovsky village council of the Malodedelsky volost of the Ust-Medveditsky district was included in the Olkhovsky district of the Kamyshinsky district (the district was liquidated in 1934) of the Nizhnevolzhsky krai [3] (since 1936 - of the Stalingrad region, since 1961 - of the Volgograd region) [4] . In the same year, the Novoolkhovsky Village Council was abolished, the settlement was included in the Gurovsky Village Council [3]
In 1954, Kireyevsky, Razuvayevsky and Gurovsky village councils were merged into one Kireyevsky village council, with the center in Kireev farm, with the inclusion of settlements: Kireev , Razuvaevo, Gurovo , Novaya Olkhovka, Prudki villages. In 1963, in connection with the abolition of the Olkhovsky district, the hamlets of Gurovo and Novaya Olkhovka (Pobeda collective farm) of the Kireevsky village council of the Olkhovsky district became part of the Kotovsky district and were incorporated into the Popkovsky village council. In 1966, the settlements of Gurov and Novoalkhovka (as in the document) of the Popkovsky Village Council of the Kotovsky District, which were part of the Victory collective farm, were again transferred to the Kireevsky Village Council of the Olkhovsky District. In 1967, the Gurovsky Village Council was formed in the center in the Gurov Farm, to which Gurov and Novaya Olkhovka farms were transferred, as well as the Small Farm. Among the settlements of the collective farm "Victory" (1 and 2 offices), while the Far Farm, Prudki and Avian Farm were also listed. In the farm Novo-Olkhovka there was a primary school, kindergarten, medical center, village club, shop.
General physiographic characteristic
The farm is located in a steppe area, on the Olkhovka River (mainly on the right bank), within the Don-Medveditskaya Ridge of the Volga Upland , at an altitude of about 110 meters above sea level [5] . The soils are dark chestnut solonetz and solonchak [6] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of the city of Volgograd is 200 km, to the district center of the village of Olkhovka - 31 km [7] .
