Rudolf Nikiforovich Alferov ( October 17, 1932 - December 22, 1991 ) - Soviet boxing trainer . Trainer Ivanovskogo SDYUSSHOR number 7, personal trainer of the USSR boxing champion Yuri Leshchev and several other famous Soviet boxers. Honored coach of the RSFSR .

Biography
Rudolf Alferov was born on October 17, 1932.
He studied in Leningrad , graduated from the PF Lesgaft State Institute of Physical Culture . Being engaged in boxing, did not achieve great success as an athlete, but later proved to be a successful coach. In the period 1983-1989 he worked as a trainer in Ivanovo at the Specialized School for Children and Youth Olympic Reserve School No. 7.
Over the years, coaching has produced a number of titled boxers who have achieved success at the All-Union level. One of his most famous pupils is Yury Leshchev , master of sports of international class, USSR champion, bronze medalist of the Soviet national championship, winner of international tournaments in Denmark, GDR, and Mexico. Also, at various times, his students were Ivanovo boxers like Nikolai Terentyev, Victor Kapitonov, Dmitry Saleev, Valery Zdorikov, Noil Fatkhulin, Valery Perepelkin, and others. For outstanding achievements in the coaching field, Rudolf Alferov was awarded the title of Honored Coach of the RSFSR .
He died on December 22, 1991 at the age of 59. He was buried at the Balinsky cemetery in Ivanovo.
Each year, Ivanovo hosts a youth boxing tournament in memory of the honored trainer of the RSFSR R.N. Alferov [1] [2] .
