Content
History
The village was founded in the late XVIII - early XIX century [1] . In the "List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire", published in 1865, the settlement was mentioned as the Cossack farm Kulakovka (Kulakov) of the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh province . at the Don River, located 120 miles from the county town of Ostrogozhsk . The farm had 102 yards and 628 people (310 men and 318 women). An Orthodox prayer house functioned [2] .
Geography
The village is located in the southern part of the Voronezh region, in the steppe zone, on the right bank of the Don River , at a distance of about 27 kilometers (in a straight line) east-northeast (ENE) from the city of Rossosh , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 109 meters above sea level [3] .
