Sergey Kirillovich Gusev (born December 29, 1948 ) is a Soviet tennis player and tennis coach. Master of Sports of the USSR .

Biography
Born in 1948 in Sochi . In childhood, was engaged in swimming. At 12, he became interested in tennis. He trained under the leadership of Yuri Vasilievich Yutkin. At the age of 15 he became the first champion of the RSFSR in the singles among young men under 18 years of age. The following year, he fulfilled the standard of the USSR master of sports and entered the youth national team of the USSR. Several times he became the champion of the RSFSR Spartakiad, four times was the champion of Russia among adults in singles and doubles, twice was a finalist of the USSR championship among young men.
Since 1965 he worked as an assistant to the head coach of the national team of the Soviet Union and the Davis Cup. From 1974 to 1976 he was a personal trainer of Natalya Chmyryova . From 1975 to 1977, he trained the Salnikov sisters, Julia and Alla, who became the USSR champions [1] [2] .
Since 1993, he is a member and a qualified professional trainer of the International Organization of Professional Trainers, as well as a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport ( USA ). He is also a member of the American Tennis Association [2] .
In total, over the years he worked, he took part in the sports training of more than a thousand different athletes. He still performs in matches among sports veterans [3] .
