Finnish-Namibian relations are bilateral relations between Finland and Namibia . March 21, 1990, when Finland recognized the independence of the African country, relations between the countries were established. The Namibian Embassy connecting the country with Finland is located in Stockholm , Sweden . In Windhoek , Namibia , the Finnish Embassy is located.

Diplomatic relations
Finland was a supporter of Namibia's independence [1] .
Help from Finland
Finland assisted an African country in forestry and water management, environmental protection and public health [2] .
Trade between countries
In general, trade relations between the two countries were limited. However, from 2003 to 2007, exports from Namibia to Finland increased, but then, in 2011, sharply decreased. At that time, mainly dairy and meat products were exported to European countries [2] . In 2012, the Finnish minister, Alexander Stubb, visited Namibia with the aim of establishing trade relations [3] .
Visits
In June 2008, Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula visited Finland [4] .
In February 2011, President of Finland Tarja Halonen visited Namibia.
