Kamaev, Farit Khasnullovich

Farit Khasnullovich Kamaev ( April 19, 1944 , Kostanay , Kazakh SSR - January 13, 1993 , Ufa ) - Russian folklorist , musicologist, Turkologist . Candidate of Art History (1979), Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan (1991), member of the Union of Composers of the USSR since 1973. Associate Professor, Department of Theory of Music, Ufa State Institute of Arts , Head of the Department of Bashkir Folklore (1989–1991), Vice Rector for Science, Ufa State Institute of Arts (1991–1993). The author of over 30 scientific papers on Bashkir folk and professional music.

Biography

Born in the family of a soldier. He graduated from the piano department of the Ufa College of Arts in 1965. In 1965-1966 he taught at the Children's Music School with. Isyangulovo of the Zianchurinsky district of the BASSR, in 1966–1967 - in the Children's School No. 2 in Ufa .

Higher education received at the historical-theoretical-composer department of the State Music and Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins (1967–1972). He graduated from the graduate school of the All-Russian Research Institute of Art Studies (1976; supervisor - E. Alekseev). He defended his thesis “Compositional rhythmic patterns of the Bashkir folk song melody” (1979).

From 1971 until the end of his life he taught at the Ufa State Institute of Arts . On his initiative, the department of Bashkir music and folklore was created in the institute in 1989, he was its first head. Under his leadership, programs for the training of performers on traditional Bashkir instruments, as well as researchers of national folklore, were developed and introduced ^[1] .

An important facet of the activities of F.Kh. Kamaev was an educational work. On his initiative and with the participation of R. Rakhimov in the early 80's. The festival of amateur art “Play, Talianka!” was organized.

The delegation of cultural figures of Bashkiria F.Kh. Kamaev repeatedly represented the republic abroad (Hungary, Romania, East Germany).

Scientific Heritage

Central to the scientific heritage of F.Kh. Kamaev devoted to the problems of studying Bashkir musical folklore . Here are some of them:

• style and genre features of folk songs and instrumental tunes,
• structural typology and musical syntax of Uzun- Kyu and Takmak ,
• phonetic system of musical and poetic speech of folk songs,
• comparative analysis of folklore.

F. Kh. Kamaev contributed to collecting and noting samples of folk music. Since 1965, he was a participant and organizer of expeditions to study the musical and poetic heritage of the Bashkir people. He made field recordings in the Bashkir Trans-Urals, southern Bashkiria, the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions, and the Gorno-Altai Autonomous Region. As part of the complex expeditions of the USSR Academy of Sciences and the USSR SK in the 1970s and 80s, Farit Khasnullovich traveled to Altai, Romania and Mongolia. F. Kh. Kamaev collected more than three thousand and sounded more than two thousand folk songs and tunes. The result of many years of collecting activities of the scientist was the posthumous publication of “400 Bashkir folk songs (shared with N. Shonkarov; Ufa, 2011) - with notations, a preface and scientific comments by F. Kh. Kamaev.

Farit Khasnullovich acted as editor-compiler of musical and scientific publications, including K. Diyarov's collections of “Melodies of the Gray Urals” (“Sal Uraldyn Mondary”, Efe, 1988) and “Bashkir Songs and Tunes” (M., 1972).

In the last years of his life, F. Kh. Kamaev worked on the monograph “The Melody of the Bashkir Musical and Poetic Speech,” which remained incomplete ^[2] .

Scientific Publications

Perpetuation of memory

In 1998, the name of Kamaev F.Kh. assigned to the Children's Art School No. 2 of Ufa .

In 1998, the annual Republican contest of students in the folklore departments of the Children's Music School and Children's Art School in memory of the folklorist F. Kamaev was established.

In 2010, in Bashkortostan, the annual Open Competition of Performers of Bashkir instrumental music named after Farit Kamaev was established.

In 2014, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference was held , dedicated to the 70th birthday of F.Kh. Kamaev (Ufa, UGAI named after Z. Ismagilov, April 22). April 23-24, events in memory of F.Kh. were held at the Ufa State Institute of Arts Kamaev .
