Meishihu International Center for Culture and Art ( Chinese р 溪湖 国际 文化 艺术 中心 , Pinyin : Méixīhú guójì wénhuàyìshù zhōngxīn ) is located in Changsha , Hunan Province, China and combines a museum of modern art and a large and a small theater.

Description
The Meishihu International Center for Culture and Art is located on the shores of Macy Lake ( Chinese 梅 溪湖 ) and combines three different buildings in one square, which house the Museum of Modern Art, as well as two theaters: a large and a small one. Between them it is supposed to place shops and restaurants [1] [2] . The total area of the complex is 100,000 m² [3] .
The Museum of Modern Art occupies a building area of 45,000 m² , of which the actual exhibition area of the nine halls of the museum is 10,000 m² . It is expected that about 800,000 visitors will visit it during the year [3] .
The Bolshoi Theater with 1800 seats is designed for opera, ballet, music, drama, song, dance and other performances of international level, which also corresponds to the technical equipment of the building [3] [1] .
The Maly Theater with 500 seats is intended for commercial events (fashion shows, banquets, folk art performances, etc.) [1] [3] .
When designing the buildings of the complex, it was decided to make them visually look like hibiscus flowers, therefore the center is also allegorically called - Hibiscus flower ( Chinese р 花 п , pinyin : Fúróng Huā , pall .: Fuzhong Hua ) [3] [4] [5] .
History
Five organizations took part in a closed tender for the construction of the center’s building; As a result, the project of the architectural bureau Zaha Hadid won [1] .
Construction began on October 26, 2012 and affected an area of 120,000 m² [3] . The official opening of the center took place on August 31, 2017 [4] .
