Biography
Vladimir Aleksandrovich Levashev was born on January 16, 1923 in Moscow. In 1941 he graduated from the Moscow Academy of Choreography of the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR (teacher P. A. Gusev ).
In 1941-1978 he was a ballet dancer of the Bolshoi Theater . He starred in the film adaptations of the productions of the Bolshoi Theater "Fedra" (1972) and "Giselle" (1975). He was one of the leading dancers of the Bolshoi ballet troupe; his manner was distinguished by the expressiveness, sharpness and accuracy of the stage design, plasticity, musicality, and great mimic talent. In 1978-1985 he served as a tutor-tutor.
He was elected a deputy of the Moscow City and District Councils of Workers' Deputies. He lived in 1st Smolensky Lane (building 9).
He died in 2005 in Moscow, was buried at the Vvedensky cemetery (7th section).
