Mikhail Markovich Matsyokha ( Ukrainian: Mikhailo Markovich Matsyokha ; born December 22, 1942 ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian weightlifting coach . Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine , Honored Coach of the USSR , Honored Coach of Ukraine , Honorary Citizen of the city of Khmelnitsky [1] .

Biography
Born December 22, 1942 in the village of Tereshevtsy, Khmelnitsky district, Khmelnitsky region . Since 1971, he has been working in the Khmelnitsky Youth Sports School No. 2 Avangard [1] .
In 1977 he graduated from the Kiev Institute of Physical Culture and Sports [1] .
Trainer-teacher of weightlifting of the highest qualification category, chairman of the weightlifting federation of the Khmelnitsky region.
During 1988-1999 and since 2009, he has been the head coach of the national weightlifting team of Ukraine [1] . Since March 2015 - the head coach of the national weightlifting team [2] .
Among the pupils are the 1996 Olympic champion Denis Gottfried , Timur Taymazov , Alexey Torokhtiy [2] .
Since 2008, he has been the head coach for weightlifting at the Epicenter sports club, which was attended by such athletes as Artyom Ivanov , Igor Shimechko , Yuri Chikida [2] .
He was awarded a number of state awards. In 2006, he became "Person of the Year." In 2012, he received the medal of the Khmelnytsky Regional Council “For Merit to the Khmelnitsky Region” and the anniversary medal of the President of Ukraine “ 20 years of independence of Ukraine ” [1] .
