Rudensky, Alexander Yuryevich

Alexandr Yurievich Rudensky (born August 21, 1956, USSR ) [2] [3] is a Russian-American immunologist, researcher of regulatory T-cells , and transcription factors in FOXP3 [4] [5] . Member of the National Academy of Sciences (2012 [6] ) and the US Medical Academy [7] , researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (since 1993). He works at the Memorial Sloan - Kettering Memorial Cancer Center , where he is a professor and director of his Ludwig Cancer Immunotherapy Center [8] , as well as a professor at Rockefeller and Cornell ( Wail Cornell Medical School ) universities.

Received a doctorate degree at the Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. GI Garichevsky in Moscow, training completed at the Yale School of Medicine [9] .

Together with colleagues Rudensky investigated the development of T-cells. His laboratory specializes in studying the molecules underlying T-cell activity and the role of these cells in immunity [10] .
