Story
Dar Adal ( F. Murray Abraham ) betrays Javadi ( Sean Toub ), revealing his location to Mossad, who is eager to interrogate him regarding the IRGC operations. Clutching the situation, Javadi calls Carrie ( Claire Danes ) and turns on the speakerphone on the phone, which gives her the opportunity to hear what is happening. Carrie and Sol ( Mandy Patinkin ) track the call, but arrive in Javadi's hotel room after he was picked up by Mossad operatives, although they find the phone he left. On his phone they find a record of Farhad Nafisi ( Bernard White ), where he admits that he worked for Mossad. Carrie and Saul provide this evidence to President-elect Keane ( Elizabeth Marvel ). Along with Dar Adal’s involvement in Seku Ba’s setup, they convince Kin that Dar, along with elements of the Mossad, had conspired to falsely represent Iran in violation of the nuclear agreement.
Max ( Mori Sterling ) examines Conlin’s death and tracks the location of Conlin’s last phone call in the tech support he was investigating. Trying to learn more about the organization, Max responds to one of the free posts. Max is interviewed by Brett O'Keefe ( Jake Weber ), and then hires him. Max soon learns that the organization’s main function is to control a huge number of fake social accounts in order to release O'Keefe’s political goals.
Keane leads Attorney General George Pallis ( David Thornton ) to give advice on Dar Adal. Pallis claims that they simply do not have enough evidence of Dara's direct connection with the conspiracy. He says the only way to bring Dara down is for Carrie to testify that Dar was covering up the penetration of a Russian agent at the CIA station in Berlin. Carrie does not want to do this, as this will disgrace Saul because of his relationship with Allison at the time, which was a mole. Carrie meets with Sol and explains, to his dismay, that this is currently their only course of action.
The gift goes home and finds Quinn ( Rupert Friend ) waiting for him there. When Quinn confronts him about the assassination of Astrid and the attempt on his life, Dar insists that he has nothing to do with it, he even goes so far as to say that he loves Quinn as a son and would never harm him. Quinn hits Dara with a pistol and leaves. Dar calls his henchman ( S.J. Wilson ), demanding to know why he disobeyed his instructions to leave Quinn alone. The man replies that "there were different opinions." The gift tells him that Quinn is still alive. Outside nearby, Quinn eavesdrops on their phone conversation using Stingray.
