And Their Name Was Treason is the debut studio album of the American rock band A Day to Remember , released May 10, 2005 via Indianola Records. The album is the only release of the group on the Indianola label, due to the success of this album, the group signed a contract with Victory Records in 2007. Several songs of the album were written during the teenage times of the band members. Recorded in the producer’s bedroom, the album contains audio quotes from several films. The band toured the United States to promote the album. The album has sold over 10,000 copies. A reissued version of the album, titled Old Record, was released in October 2008 via Victory Records. The band later admitted that they were forced to rewrite the album at the request of label owner Tony Brummel. The reissue of the album hit 16th place in the Heatseekers Album Chart in the United States.
