Biography
Born on January 11, 1961 in Baku.
He was engaged in fencing, becoming a master of sports.
In 1982, he graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Physical Culture and Sports (now the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports). In 1988-1991 he worked as a coach in the sports society Dynamo ( Baku ). Since 1991, he worked in Ukraine in Kiev Children's and Youth Sports School No. 16, then as a trainer and teacher at the Higher Republican College of Physical Education and Sports (since 2001 - a senior trainer). At the same time, since 2000, Garnik Davidyan was the head coach of the national fencing team of Ukraine (since 2015 - head coach [2] ). Among his pupils [1] - V. Lukashenko [3] , V. Tretyak , O. Harlan [4] .
He was awarded the Order of Merit of the 3rd degree (2012). [5] In 2016, he was awarded a scholarship from the President of Ukraine. [6]
