Biography
Shirley Chambers was born on December 20, 1913 in Seattle ( Washington , USA ). She grew up in Northern California from infancy, where she became a model as a teenager, in 1930 she signed a contract with MGM, and in 1932 she transferred to RKO.
She began her career in the 1930s. She was known for playing the role of "stupid blondes" in musicals, after she was discovered by agent Harry Reichenbach [3] . She was probably best remembered by the audience for her role in the cult film, winner of the Oscar in 1939, " Gone With the Wind ."
Shirley lived her last years in Los Angeles , probably was married, because she was known by the name of Nash, and died 3 months before her 98th birthday [4] . She was cremated, and the dust was given to her daughter. After her death, "Gone With the Wind" continued to be shown twice a day in a multiplex in Atlanta .
