The volost was located in the northwestern part of Tsaritsyno district on both sides of the Ilovli River, on the border with the Kamyshin district and the Don Army Region . At the end of the 19th century, in addition to the Olkhovka settlement, the volost included Gusyovka , Kamenny Brod , the village of Zenzevatka , the villages of Davyalovka, Klenovka , Uspenka and Mikhailovka , a farm Zaburunov and Polyakov [1]
In 1919, as part of the Tsaritsyn district, it was included in the Tsaritsyn province . It was abolished in 1928 . The territory is fully included in the Olkhovsky district of the Kamyshin district of the Lower Volga region [2]
