Balykley volost is an administrative-territorial unit within the Tsaritsyn district of the Saratov province , and since 1919 - the Tsaritsyn province . It was formed in 1887, isolated from the Lipov volost . At the time of its formation, it consisted of two rural societies - the village of Balykley and the village of Proleika . The volost was located in the northern part of Tsaritsyn district on the right side of the Volga . As of 1894, in addition to the villages of Balykley and Proleyka, the volost included Shishkov, Tsypanov, Medkov, Korolev, Vavilin farms (on the lands of the Balykleysky rural society) and Glinishch, Kulikov and Chislov farms (on the lands of the Proleysky rural society) [1]
It follows from the Schematic Map of Tsaritsyn Uyezd in the 1910 edition that by this time an independent Proleisky volost was allocated from the volost [2] .
In 1919, as part of the Tsaritsyn district, it was included in the Tsaritsyn province . It was abolished in 1928 . The territory is divided between the Dubovsk district of the Stalingrad district and the Olkhov district of the Kamyshin district of the Lower Volga region [3]
