First of all, the brand is focused on the culture of skateboarding , hip-hop and rock music , but also on the whole youth culture. The brand produces clothes, accessories and skateboards . Shoes, clothes and accessories of the brand are actively sold in the secondary market.

The famous Supreme logo with text written in white sloping futur , placed in a bright red rectangle, was created under the clear influence of the propaganda art of Barbara Krueger [5] .
History
The brand was founded by James Jebbia in April 1994 , when the first Supreme store opened on Lafayette Street in downtown Manhattan. [7] Jebbia was born in the USA , but spent his childhood and youth (under 19 years old) in England [8] [5] . The first store had a unique design among the boutiques of that time: all clothes were hung around the perimeter, and in the center a large space was allocated for a kind of skate park : skaters, without taking off their backpacks, could ride comfortably without interfering with customers [5] . In 2004, the second store of the brand opened in Los Angeles at North Fairfax Ave, approximately twice as large as the original New York boutique and had an indoor halfpipe [9] . Subsequently, stores were opened in London (September 2011 ), in Paris (March 2016 ), Tokyo ( Harajuku , Daikanyama and Shibuya ), Nagoya , Osaka and Fukuoka [10] . New outlets in their design continued the philosophy of the very first store. In addition to the Supreme brand itself, its stores sell Vans products, the Nike line for skateboarding , Spitfire, Thrasher , as well as the Girl Distribution Company [11] .
On October 5, 2017, Supreme opened its eleventh store and the second in New York [12] [13] . On October 6, 2017, Supreme founder James Jebbia confirmed that the label sold a significant share of the company (approximately 50%, which equaled five hundred million dollars in cash) to The Carlyle Group Investment Fund [14] [15] [14] .
Collaboration
Supreme brand has collaborated with a number of companies, including Nike / Air Jordan , Vans [16] , Clarks , The North Face [17] , Hanes , Playboy , Levi's , Timberland [18] , Comme des Garçons [19] , and Stone Island [ 20] . On January 18, 2017, the Louis Vuitton premium clothing brand held a fashion show where it demonstrated a joint collection with Supreme. Pop-up shops [approx. 1] , who sold the collection, opened on June 30, 2017 in Sydney , Seoul , Tokyo , Paris , London , Miami and Los Angeles [21] . It was also planned to open a pop-up Louis Vuitton store in New York , but it was rejected by Manhattan 's second public council after locals expressed their indignation that “such an event will be held on Bond Street” [22] . In 2017, The Dapifer fashion news outlet confirmed rumors of a partnership between Lacoste and Supreme when creating the capsule men's collection [23] .
Supreme periodically produces T-shirts and boxing shorts in collaboration with Hanes , as well as skateboarding accessories in conjunction with the skate brands Independent Trucks and Spitfire Wheels.
Supreme released skateboards designed for: Harmony Corin , Rammellzee , Ryan McGuinness , Kaws , Larry Clark , Jeff Koons , Richard Prince , Christopher Wool , Nate Lowman , Damien Hirst and John Baldessari . In addition, the brand collaborated with photographers , artists and designers such as: David Lynch , Robert Cramb , Marilyn Minter [24] , Takashi Murakami [25] , Daniel Johnston [26] , Peter Savill [27] , Futura , Bad Brains , Public Enemy , Hans Rudi Giger , Marc González , Maurits Cornelis Escher , Dash Snow and Nan Goldin [28] .
In 2017, Supreme proposed Circlemakers [29] , a UK-based design team engaged in creating crop designs [approx. 2] , create a large brand logo drawing in a secret location in California [30] . This picture is shown in a short film shot by Supreme called Crop Fields [31] .
In popular culture
Fashion photographer Terry Richardson created some of the most famous photos used in the design of the brand, including photos of Michael Jordan , the frog Kermit [32] , rap groups Three 6 Mafia , Lou Reed , Lady Gaga , Neil Young [33] , rappers Gucci Mane , Nasa and British musician and poet Morrissey . Kenneth Cappello [34] designed some of their most successful T-shirts with images of Mike Tyson , The Diplomats , Michael Jackson and Raikwon [35] .
Among the famous people who wore Supreme clothes in public were members of the Odd Future group [36] [6] , Odell Beckham Jr. , Justin Bieber , DJ SchwambiFlexx, Bad Bunny , J-Hope from Bangtan Boys and Baekhyun from EXO [37] [ 38] . Choi Yongje from GOT7 , Sergey Klimenko.

Skate Team
In 1994, the first Supreme New York store had its own skateboarding team [5] which included Justin Pierce and Harold Hunter . In 1995, the Alleged Films International film studio shot for Supreme a promotional video called “A Love Supreme”, the main theme of which was skateboarding [5] . In 2014, Supreme released a full-length film about skateboarding called "cherry" ( English cherry ), directed by William Strobek [39] . In 2018, the second full-length film from Supreme was released under the name “BLESSED” ( blessed ), directed by William Strobek again.
