Roman Lakapin (son of Christopher)

Roman Lakapin ( Greek Ρωμανὸς Λακαπηνός ; c. 920 - after 927) - Emperor of Byzantium from 923/924, formal co-ruler of his father Christopher and grandfather Roman .

Roman Lakapin
Date of Birth

Roman Lakapin was supposedly the eldest son of Christopher Lakapin and his wife Sophia. His grandfather, Emperor Roman, on December 25, 923 or 924, proclaimed him his co-ruler along with his sons Stefan and Konstantin (Christopher was a member of the imperial college since 921). At that time, Roman Jr. was still a child. Allegedly, he died shortly afterwards; in any case, after 927 the young emperor is no longer mentioned in the documents.
