He graduated from 1890 University of Vienna . From 1893 - Associate Professor of Slavic Philology of the University of Graz ( Austria ).
Author of works on dialectology, history of Slovenia and other South Slavic languages:
- "On the history of the declension of names in the Slovene language" ( 1888 ),
- “Church Slavonic Translation of the Apocalypse” ( 1890 ),
- "Macedonian studios" ( 1896 ) and others.
Published reviews on "Essay on the literary history of the Little Russian dialect in the XVII century" by Pavel Zhitetsky and "Grammar of the Russian language for middle schools" by Omelyan Ogonovsky (both - 1889 ).
