Biography

Born in 1945. He began to play tennis as a child, at the age of eight. Participated in Moscow and All-Union competitions, first among young men, then among adults. He also participated in the championships of the USSR (1955-1981).

He graduated from the State Central Order of Lenin Institute of Physical Culture . He was engaged in scientific activities, has a degree in psychological sciences. He defended his thesis on the topic "Psychological features of sports training." He is the author of a number of articles on tennis technology and tactics.

In coaching - since 1967. He was a member of the Moscow and All-Union Coaching Councils (1969-1986). He worked as a coach in CSKA (1967-1969, 1971-1977), DSO Trud (1981-1984) and Dynamo (1984-1986), as well as in various private tennis clubs (with 1986). He is the founder and director of the New Tennis Club in Moscow (since 1993) [1] .

Over the years of coaching, he participated in the sports training of many outstanding tennis players. Among the wards of Vitaly Nikolayevich Poltev - O. Lifanov , champion of Europe and the USSR [1] ; D. Lomanov [2] , winner of the USSR Cup; K. Pugaev , Davis Cup champion [1] .
