Novoaltayskaya , or Charyshskaya, is a Russian breed of meat horses . The breed was planned by Soviet zootechnicians for cultivation in Altai , it is close to heavy trucks , but due to selection it has an increased weight of meat with preserved unpretentiousness. Although the beginnings of the breed date back to the 1920s, work on breeding the breed began in 1978 , and the breed was officially approved in 2000 [1] .

A muscular horse with a large head, New Altai is also suitable for milk , horseback riding or light arable land. Although the horse has also spread to Kazakhstan , it is considered a rare breed with approximately 2,000 copies in 2016.
