Biography
Alexander Gertsikov was born in Omsk [3] on November 8, 1982 [1] . From 2000 to 2006, he studied at the Omsk GUOR , he was trained by Anatoly Ivanovich Brasalin . In 2002 and 2003, he won the title of champion of Russia, in 2004 he was again the champion of Russia, as well as the silver medalist of the European Championship. In 2005, he repeated his victory and became the silver medalist of the European Championship. At competitions he played for the SK of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the city of Omsk . He works as a coach of the Russian national short track team [2] .
In 2008, the athlete set a Russian record at the World Cup in Salt Lake City on the short track in the all-around 1500 meters [4] . At the end of 2010, the athlete announced the completion of a sports career [5] . The main place of work as of 2015 is FSBI βTsSPβ. Work experience in sports teams of the Russian Federation is five years [1] .
