Biography
Roman Frost in 1956 and 1957 wrote and published training manuals on weightlifting. Received the title of Honored Trainer of the RSFSR . Pavel Moroz, together with Georgy Pavlovich Tenno, is considered the creator of the school of athletic gymnastics in the Soviet Union .
Roman Pavlovich Moroz was the head of the All-Union Commission on Athletic Gymnastics and Weight Lifting . His activities led to the creation of the All-Union Athletic Federation [1] . He worked as vice-rector of the State Central Order of Lenin Institute of Physical Culture (GTsOLIFK) [3] .
In the early 1960s, Roman Moroz published the first brochure, “Develop Power,” which contained 129 pages [3] . His friend was Bob Hoffman, US head coach in weightlifting. [3]
Among his pupils are world record holder and master of sports in weightlifting Mark Shafran [3] , Grigory Novak - the first world champion in the Soviet Union among all sports [3] and Alexei Sidorovich Medvedev [4] . Alexey Medvedev began to study with Roman Moroz after he was handed over to the new coach by Alexander Pavlovich Bazurin [4] . While working at the institute, Roman Moroz influenced the choice of coaching by Vladimir Maslyaev - he told the athlete that he could make a good coach [5] .
He worked as a trainer in the society "Wings of the Soviets" [4] .
