Biography
Koryugin Nikolai Nikolaevich was born on December 7, 1950 in the village of Kurgan in the Krasnodar Territory in a family of employees. Father, Nikolai Fedorovich Koryugin, was an accountant, and his mother, Koryugina (before Smirnov’s marriage), Polina Pavlovna, was a teacher. In August 1953, the family moved to the village. Sheksna , in which the construction of a hydroelectric power station and gateway No. 7 of the Volga-Baltic waterway was underway.
In 1968 he graduated from Ust-Ugolsky secondary school with a silver medal. He entered the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISiS) at the Department of Economics and Organization of Production. After graduation, he studied at graduate school, and in 1978 was distributed to the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant .
He worked at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant from 1978 to 1996, having gone from a computer center engineer to the head of the financial department of the plant. In 1989, he was nominated by the collective of the converter shop, where he worked for three years, as a candidate for people's deputies of the USSR. Elected People's Deputy of the USSR from the Cherepovets Territorial Electoral District No. 148 of the Vologda Oblast , became a member of the Supreme Council of the USSR. Member of the Committee of the Supreme Council of the USSR on economic reform.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the dissolution of the Supreme Council of the USSR, he returned to Cherepovets . After leaving the plant at his own request in 1996, he worked as director for finance and economics at the repair and construction company RSP-Center.
