Residential building NII-39 (also “The House Under the Line” , Krasny Avenue No. 30 ) is a residential building in the style of classicism, located in the Central District of Novosibirsk at the corner of Krasny Avenue and the Oktyabrskaya Railway. Built in the 1950s. Architect - G.F. Kravtsov.

Content
History
There is an assumption that in the 1930s, a restaurant and an Insnab currency store were located on the site of the NII-39 Apartment Building.
The building was built in the 1950s by the project of architect G. F. Kravtsov. In the house there were a hostel and apartments of workers of the secret Institute of measuring devices (NII-39).
In 1959, the largest grocery store in the Siberian region was opened at that time, which existed for almost half a century. It had 5 trading rooms with a total area of 1,630 m².
In 1971, an electronic scoreboard with a running line was installed on the roof of the building, along which city news was transmitted. Its length reached 28 m, height - 2 m.
Description
The V-shaped building overlooks the red lines of the Oktyabrskaya Railway and Krasny Prospect. The length of the part of the building located along the Red Avenue is 75 m, along the Oktyabrskaya highway is 60 m, the length of the central part is 34 m.
From the south-east side, the “House under the line” adjoins a 7-storey house with an end face, from the south side - to the Dynamo housing complex (28 Krasny Avenue).
The house is characterized by different height: the central part consists of 9 floors, parts of the building along the red lines of Red Avenue and Oktyabrskaya highway have 7 floors each.
