Geographical position
The village is located in the northwestern part of Senegal, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean , near the mouth of the Senegal River, at a distance of approximately 148 kilometers northeast of the country's capital Dakar . The absolute height is 1 meter above sea level [1] .

According to the National Agency for Statistics and Demography of Senegal ( Agence nationale de la statistique et de la démographie ), the population of Ndebén-Gandiol in 2013 was 21 182 people, of which 44.5% were men, 55.5% were women [2 ] .
