Biography
Born on August 23, 1941 in the village of Komsomolskoye (now Makhnovka), Kazatinsky district, Vinnitsa region of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1967 he graduated from the Zhytomyr Radio Engineering School of Air Defense Forces (now disbanded), in 1971 - from the Lviv Institute of Physical Culture (now the Lviv State University of Physical Culture ).
Vladimir began weightlifting in 1959, advocated for the Armed Forces of the USSR in the weight categories of 82.5 and 90 kg. He became the champion and prize winner of the championships of the Armed Forces of the USSR and the championships of Ukraine (1963-1971), setting three USSR records in a jerk. [one]
At the same time he began to engage in coaching, worked as a trainer in the army sports club of the Carpathian Military District (1968–1981 and 1988–1991) and the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany (1981–1987). Among his pupils are V. Melnik and S. Didyk . [one]
