Content
History
The village of Ovrazhny was registered by the Decision of the Volgograd Regional Executive Committee of July 22, 1963 No. 16/273 as a newly emerged settlement within the Crepe village council [2] .
Geography
The village is located in the southern part of the Volgograd region, in the steppe zone, on the left bank of the Eric River, at a distance of about 38 kilometers (in a straight line) to the southeast (SSE) from the city of Kalach-on-Don , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 86 meters above sea level [3] .
The climate is classified as humid continental with warm summers (according to the Köppen - Dfa climate classification ).
