Biography
Born May 17, 1965 in Kiev. In 1980, he graduated from eight grades of Kiev Secondary School No. 197 and became a cadet of the Kiev River School (KRU). After graduation, he worked on the ship "XXII Congress of the CPSU" in the position of III assistant captain. From 1984 to 1986 he served in the PV KGB of the USSR troops. From 1986 to the present, he has been actively developing Thai boxing in Ukraine. Engaged in coaching and community service.
He was fond of sports since childhood. In particular, he studied oriental combat systems and classic European boxing. He trained under the guidance of the Honored Coach of Ukraine Germash Viktor Anatolyevich (sports society "Spartak", "Labor Reserves"). After moving to the sports society, Vodnik trained under the guidance of Karlov A. P. In 1986, Sergey Sheludchenko actively collects information about Muay Thai (Thai boxing) equipment, which was little known in Ukraine at that time, and teaches the technique of the Chinese Yin Lung Da Men school. In 1989, he opened the first Thai boxing club Fighter in Ukraine.
Pupils of the club successfully compete in contact martial arts competitions. In 1991, the first Thai Boxing Federation of Kiev was established in Kiev in Kiev under the Kiev City Sports Committee, the president of which was Sergey Mikhailovich Sheludchenko. In 1992, the first tournament "Championship of the city of Kiev in Thai boxing" was held. The tournament was attended by over 300 athletes representing various clubs in Kiev and Kiev region. In 1993, the club created one of the first licensed security agencies in Ukraine, Centurion. At this time he studied at the State twice-awarded Institute of Physical Culture named after P.F. In 1992, he embraced Buddhism in the datsan of the Gunsecoine . From 1993 to the present, the students of the Fighter Club have won the highest awards at national and international competitions in various areas of martial arts and classic boxing, both in amateur and professional rings. Sheludchenko as a trainer prepared 5 world champions, 3 world championship medalists, European champions and medalists, more than 50 Ukrainian champions. Among the pupils Timur Akhundov , who converted to professional boxing and won the title of WBF Intercontinental and World Champions, Kateryna Nischenko and Victoria Titor (world champion in Thai boxing WMF version), Roman Zembitsky (silver medalist of the WMF World Championship), Alexander Grinenko (champion Europe in full contact karate and winner of the Eurasia kickboxing championship), Alexander Sadovshchikov (winner of the Eurasia kickboxing championship) and others.
In 2000, the first book written in the genre of the space opera Warriors of Shambhala was released . In 2001, as a continuation of the series, the second book, Spear of Fate, was published.
In 2010, the Fighter Club team prepared by Sheludchenko became the winner of the Muay Thai League tournament. Sheludchenko was awarded the Golden Ring “Best Muay Thai League Coach”, and his pupil Ilya Primak received the golden ring “Best Muay Thai League Fighter”.
Continues his coaching career, being the permanent president of the Kiev Thai Boxing Federation and the head coach of the Fighter club. He travels around the countries of Southeast Asia, collecting information and studying the techniques of schools under the guidance of famous masters. He trained at the Thai Boxing Academy in Bangkok (Thailand). Among his mentors are the famous Thai masters Suphan Chabairam and Pornkaew Limmongkhonchaiku. He has international coaching certificates from the Thai Boxing Academy in Bangkok in classic Thai boxing (sports) and the traditional "old" style of Muay Boran.
