Pyotr Pavlovich Babey (born February 15, 1945 ) - USSR master of sports in freestyle wrestling , honored coach of the Republic of Belarus. The first trainer of Maria Mamoshuk [1] - the silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in freestyle wrestling [2] .

Biography
Peter Babey was born on February 15, 1945. He became the prize winner of international and all-union freestyle wrestling competitions. He worked as a trainer and teacher in freestyle wrestling of the institution "SDYUSHOR POP CJSC" Gomel Car-Building Plant " [1] .
He brought up the repeated winner of international competitions and the master of sports of the international class in freestyle wrestling Nikolay Kondratenko, the master of sports of the international class and the participant of the Olympic Games in Sydney and Atlanta, Alexander Guzov, the master of sports of the international class and the 1995 world champion Nikolai Savin. Among his students are 50 masters of sports. He became the first coach of Maria Mamoshuk - bronze medalist of the European Games [1] and silver medalist of the Summer Olympic Games 2016 [3] .
Pyotr Pavlovich Babey was looking for students for classes in the free-style wrestling section in the secondary school of the village of Zyabrovka , in which Maria Mamoshuk studied and in the neighboring village of Klimovka [3] . The athlete began training with him at the age of 12 years [4] .
Peter Babey was awarded the Gratitude of the regional union of trade unions “For many years of conscientious work on the development and promotion of trade union sport” [2] .
Babey Petr Pavlovich was one of the ten best coaches of the Gomel region in 2015 [5] .
