Content
History
The farm belonged to the yurt of the village of Petrovskaya in the Khopersky District of the Don Don Region. According to the 1897 census, 311 men and 317 women lived on the farm, of whom literate: 82 men, 3 women [3] . According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Don Don Army Area of 1915, the land allotment was 1731 tithes, 397 men and 376 women lived [4] .
In 1921, as part of the Khopersky district, the farm was transferred to the Tsaritsyn province . Since 1928 - as part of the Uryupinsky district of the Khopyorsky district (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad region). In December 1928, the Rzhavsky village council was abolished, included in the Besplemyanovsky village council [5] . In 1935, the Besplemyanovsky village council was transferred to the Dobrinsky district of the Stalingrad Territory (from 1936 the Stalingrad Region, from 1954 to 1957 the district was part of the Balashov Region ) [6] . In 1963, in connection with the abolition of the Dobrinsky district, the Rzhavsky farm was again included in the Uryupinsky district [6] [7] .
Geography
The farm is located in a ravine, within the Kalach Upland , southwest of the Beslemyanovsky farm, about 0.8-1 km from the right bank of the Khopyor River . The center of the farm is located at an altitude of about 80 meters above sea level. In the Khopra floodplain there are small lakes, islands of the floodplain forest [8] . The soils are ordinary and southern chernozems ; in the Khopra floodplain, floodplain neutral and slightly acidic [9] .
There is an access to the farm from the Uryupinsk - Nekhaevskaya highway. By road, the distance to the regional center of Uryupinsk is 19 km, to the regional center of Volgograd - 350 km [10] .
